Guide

Compression socks for travel.

Long flights and long drives do the same thing to your legs that a twelve-hour shift does: they keep you still, and fluid settles in your feet and ankles. NursingRx knee-highs were engineered for nurses who never sit down, and the same 14-18 mmHg graduated gradient is what makes them work in seat 32A.

Why they work on long journeys

  1. 1. Built for hours without moving

A long flight or drive keeps your calf muscles still, so blood pools in the lower leg. Graduated compression is firmest at the foot (18 mmHg) and eases toward the calf (14 mmHg), supporting return flow while you sit.

  2. 2. 14-18 mmHg is the everyday travel range

This is light-to-moderate graduated compression, the range most travellers use for comfort on long journeys. It is not medical-grade therapy. If you have a clotting, circulation or blood pressure condition, ask your provider first.

  3. 3. Figure-8 ankle support in any shoe

The figure-8 ankle wrap keeps the sock anchored whether you are in sneakers, boots or slipping them off at your seat, so nothing bunches under your arch.

  4. 4. Cushioned sole for airport miles

A cotton terry-loop sole absorbs impact across terminals and rest stops, then still feels fresh when you land.

  5. 5. Breathable knit for pressurised cabins

The cotton-poly blend vents heat and wicks moisture, so feet stay drier through a full long-haul day.

  6. 6. Seamless toe for swelling feet

Feet swell at altitude. A flat seamless toe closure keeps pressure off the toes when your feet are at their largest.
